Red Oak – Quercus rubra
Created using a mix of electronic sound samples and live recordings of children’s laughter and bells from Kensington Gardens itself, my piece for the Red Oak tree invokes a sense of nostalgia. The soundscape imagines the experiences the wisened trees might have been through in their long life, observing as innumerable humans go about their leisurely business in the gardens for years and years.
